World's 10 Strangest Diseases

VivaNews- a rare disease often associated with legends and beliefs attached to such a curse. On the other hand, a rare disease makes people fascinated and frightened when adjacent to the infected. In the medical world too, there are some rare disease that remains a puzzle, either cause or cure.

There are a few rare diseases in the world, following 10 of them.

1. Progeria
Progeria is caused by defects of genetic code, which makes a child look like the elderly. On average, children born with this disease will die at age 13. Body of children with progeria will experience a rapid aging, including premature baldness, heart disease, thinning bones and arthritis. The disease is extremely rare, an infected only 48 people worldwide who are still alive.

2. Elephantiasis
 Filariasis also known as elephantiasis, is reflected in the swelling of the limbs such as arms and legs. The disease is caused by parasitic worms, Wuchereria bancrofti, Brugia malayi, and B. timori, a mosquito-borne. Filariasis currently affects 120 million people worldwide, 40 million Papuan region experiencing serious illness.

3. Werewolf

4. Blue skin diseases

 Alice in Wonderland Syndrome (AIWS), or micropsia, is a neurological condition which affects human perception of visual disorientation. A person feels as a human being, part of humans, animals, and inanimate objects as well as smaller than reality. Generally, the object perceived appears far away or extremely close at the same time.

In their vision, the dog, may appear the size of a mouse, or the car will be smaller. This condition is also called a vision or hallucination tiny little man.

8. Blaschko lines
 Blaschko lines is an extremely rare phenomenon and can not be explained medically. Uniquely human anatomy was first discovered in 1901 by German dermatologist Alfred Blaschko. Blaschko lines are invisible due to interference patterns of human DNA. The disease is inherited and seen in the skin or mucosa with striped patterned visual V or S in the back, chest, and abdomen.

9. Living corpse syndrome
It is a syndrome of mental depression and suicidal tendencies. Patients will complain of losing everything treasure, part or all of the body, and believe they are dead or walking corpses.
These fantasies are usually developed and the patient may say that he could smell his rotting flesh or feel the worms crawling in his skin. This phenomenon is often a recurring in people who experience sleep deprivation and cocaine psychosis.

10. Jumping Frenchman Disorder
